These include positions in process development, materials science, polymer science, sustainable chemicals, energy, and data-driven R&D, particularly in organizations that value innovation, scale-up, and applied research.
How does your PhD research translate to industry value?
My PhD trained me to solve complex, open-ended problems using quantitative analysis, molecular modeling, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making. These skills directly support industry needs such as process optimization, product development, materials characterization, sustainability assessment, and technology scale-up.
Do you have experience beyond academic research?
Yes. Prior to academic research, I have over 7 years experience designing oil and gas facilities including flowstations, crude oil refineries and natural gas processing plants, which enriched process thinking, cross-disciplinary collaboration, project management, and communicating technical results to non-technical stakeholders. My background enables me to operate effectively at the interface of research, engineering, and business objectives.
